Why do you think New Pretty Town advocates bungee jumping?
I think they have bungee jumping so the Pretties have a safe way to escape a building when in danger and also so they can have fun and jump off whenever they want to.

During the late 1800's AJ Hackett opened up first commercial jump site in New Zealand. It was introduced to the US by John and Peter Kockelman from California in the late 1980's.
